Directions to Providence College
From Boston and Points North using I-95Follow
I-95 South to Rhode Island Exit 23 (Charles Street). Proceed right onto
Charles Street and go 0.2 miles to the first light at Admiral Street.
Take a left onto Admiral Street and proceed approximately 1.2 miles to
the third light at River Avenue. Take a left onto River Avenue to the
next light (0.4 miles) at Eaton Street. The gate of the campus will be
on your left. From New York, Southern Connecticut and Points SouthTake
I-95 North to Rhode Island Exit 23 (State Offices). Turn right onto
Orms Street. After the first light, veer right onto Douglas Avenue
(Route 7). Proceed 0.7 miles to the third light on Douglas and make a
left-hand turn onto Eaton Street. Proceed about 0.6 miles to the second
light at the intersection of Eaton Street and River Avenue. The gate of
the campus will be on your right From Albany and Western Massachusetts using I-90Take
I-90 East to Exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Routes 146/20) which will
lead you to Route 146 South (Providence). For almost an hour, follow
Route 146 South into Providence, RI, to the Admiral Street exit. Take a
right onto Admiral Street and proceed approximately 1.1 miles to the
second light at River Avenue. Take a left onto River Avenue to the next
light (0.4 miles) at Eaton Street. The gate of the campus will be on
your left. From Hartford and Central ConnecticutTake
I-84 to Route 2 East. Follow Route 2 East to Norwich, CT and then take
I-395 North. Proceed along I-395 North to Route 6 East. Take Route 6
East into Johnston, RI. Proceed along Route 6 East to Route 10 North.

Peterson Recreation Building Air-conditioned game courts for Providence Basketball Camp

The
Peterson Recreation Center is the hub of intramural athletics and
recreational activity at Providence College. It is home to the Begley
Arena, the Cuddy Racquetball Complex, and the Taylor Natatorium, a
25-meter pool with an outdoor patio. The Begley Arena, featuring five
multipurpose courts within a perimeter 200-meter running track,
accommodates basketball, volleyball, tennis, indoor soccer, and other
sports. The Cuddy Racquetball Complex has three courts with observation
windows and a dance studio where recreational aerobics classes are held.
Alumni Hall This
athletic facility houses the Department of Athletics’ administrative
offices for the majority of the College’s 19 NCAA Division I teams. Its
2,620-seat Joseph A. Mullaney Gymnasium, named to honor the Friars’
late legendary men’s basketball coach, is home court for the women’s
basketball and volleyball teams.
Concannon Fitness Center Providence,
RI--Providence College's new 23,000 square foot, state-of-the-art
fitness and training facility will be called the Concannon Fitness
Center. College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. made the
announcement during the Board of Trustees’ meeting on June 8, 2007, as
part of the Board of Trustees two-day meetings.
The
center, which is scheduled to open in August, is named after trustee
William F. Concannon '77. In January 2007, Concannon made a leadership
gift of $2 million to the fitness center, representing the largest gift
in College history supporting a fitness/athletics initiative.
