Camp FAQ

Q.  When and where is check-in?

A.  Check-in for all camps will take place in the Concannon Fitness Center Atrium.

Overnight Camp – July 11 – 8AM
Day Camp – July 26 – 8AM
Shooting School – June 19 – 8AM

Q. What should I bring with me to camp?

A. All Campers must pay in FULL in order to participate in camp.  If you are paying a balance at registration, it must be in CASH, MONEY ORDER or a CERTIFIED CHECK.  Please note that we will not accept personal checks at registration under any circumstances.

All Campers must also turn in a completed medical release form before participating in camp.  The form is available online and a hard copy can be mailed at your request.  You may send this in prior to the beginning of camp or bring it with you to registration.

       Day Camp and Shooting School

Wear comfortable, athletic clothing.  Please wear athletic shoes that are already broken in (to prevent blisters).  High top shoes provide the best ankle support when playing basketball and are highly recommended.

Team Camp and Overnight Camp – items to bring with you

Athletic clothing and shoes (high tops are recommended)
       Extra socks and underwear
       Swimming suit (optional)
       Toiletries
       Towels
Sheets (twin size bed, extra long) and pillow/s
Money for Camp Store or Pizza (optional)
       Extra hair ties
Athletic tape (if you regularly get your ankles taped)
       Fan for the room
       Alarm Clock
       Laundry bag

Please do NOT bring televisions, computers, refrigerators or expensive jewelry to camp.  The camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Cell phones are not allowed on the gym floor.  Campers are responsible for their own phones and the risks inherent to bringing them to camp.

No basketballs are allowed in the dorms.

Q. What is the Camp Store?  How is it different this year?

A.  The Camp Store will be available during all camps to purchase water, sports drinks, snacks and a limited number of PC/Camp gear items.  Not all clothing options will be available at the camp this year.

Q. What is the Camp Bank?

A. Parents/Guardians may deposit money in the Camp Bank for their camper to purchase items from the Camp Store during the camp week.  The Camp Bank alleviates the need for campers to carry cash.  All remaining cash in the camper’s account WILL BE RETURNED at the end of camp.

Q. How do I mail something to a camper or get in touch with her if necessary?

A. Your camp mailing address will be:
Camper’s Name
c/o Providence College
Coach Seymore’s Basketball Camp
Alumni Hall
One Cunningham Square
Providence, RI  02918

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY AND AN URGENT NEED TO CONTACT YOUR CAMPER, PLEASE CALL PROVIDENCE COLLEGE SECURITY AT 401-865-2391

Registrations received after June 15 will have package items sent to their home after the completion of camp.  They will not be available to pick up at registration due to production and shipping time, but each camper will still receive her items.  Thank you for understanding.
